Adding a consumer user

You must create at least one consumer before you can add a user to it. You can add a user during the creation of your first consumer.

Before you begin

To add a consumer user to a consumer, you must be a consumer administrator who is assigned to this consumer or a cluster administrator.

About this task

Consumer users are assigned to all consumers. A consumer user has access only to assigned consumers. A consumer user is a user account that is created during the creation or modification of a consumer.

1. Create a user account.
2. In the cluster management console, select Resources > Consumers.

   Any existing consumers display.

3. Alternatively, you can create a new consumer from the Global Actions list.
4. In the section Assign users to this consumer, select a user that you want to add the consumer user role to.
5. In the Roles column, select Consumer User.
6. Click Apply to save your changes.
