About this task

Follow these steps only if the following criteria is true:
  • You did not set the HADOOP_HOME environment variable before installing IBM Spectrum Symphony, and
  • Your application requires settings from Hadoop (for example, the value for the temporary directory in Grep defined by fs.default.name in the core-site.xml file).

  2. Set PMR_EXTERNAL_CONFIG_PATH to your Hadoop configuration directory. For example:
    export PMR_EXTERNAL_CONFIG_PATH=/opt/hadoop-2.7.2/etc/hadoop
