Retrieving MapReduce logs for an application

You can retrieve application logs that are created by the application manager for each MapReduce application.

1. From the cluster management console Dashboard, select Workload > MapReduce > Applications.

   A list of applications displays.

2. Find and select the application you want to retrieve logs for, then click Retrieve Log.

   The log retrieval parameters and log file list display.

3. Select the application manager log and specify the volume of data:
   • Complete log (all instances)
   • Last number of lines
4. If you selected number of lines, enter the number of lines you want retrieved.

   The number of lines is counted from the latest event back through the log to the limit you specify.

5. Click the log file name.
6. Save the log file locally and open with any text editor.
