Windows: What are the minimum privileges required to install IBM Spectrum Symphony?

On Windows 2003 and newer versions, the default settings for the group policy are such that a non-admin user does not have privileges to install any software, regardless of whether that user is a domain user or a local user.

On other versions of Windows, the default settings allow non-admin users to install software. However, it is possible that your company has configured the group policy to disallow this.

If you would like a non-admin user to install IBM® Spectrum Symphony you must change this setting to allow non-admin users to install software.
