Windows: After I run the uninstaller, why does the operating system still reference IBM Spectrum Symphony items in the Windows services and in the registry?

The uninstaller uses information from the %EGO_CONFDIR%\kernel\conf\ego.conf file to properly uninstall the product. If the ego.conf file is removed or corrupted, the uninstaller will not have enough information to remove the IBM® Spectrum Symphony Windows services or the IBM Platform items in the registry. You will have to remove these items manually.
