Stopping (shutting down) the IBM® Spectrum Symphony cluster

Before you begin

You need to be logged onto the primary host as root (for Linux® primary hosts) or as the cluster administrator with root privileges.

Log on to the cluster as Admin.

egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin_password

Run the following commands for your primary host operating system type.
1. Disable all applications:
```
soamcontrol app disable all
```
2. If you have enabled global standby services, stop all global standby services:
```
egosh standby kill -GLOBAL all
```
3. Stop all services:
```
egosh service stop all
```
Log on as operating system user and shut down the cluster:
```
egosh ego shutdown all
```
