Repurposing request instances

A repurposing request instance consolidates all the details associated with a specific repurposing event. For every repurposing request that is executed, a request instance is created even if the request was unsuccessful. These details can provide the administrator some insight into the operations that were performed and associated results during the repurposing process.

Repurposing request instance properties

Repurposing request instance properties are details about your request executions:
Instance ID
Unique request instance ID.
Start Time
The time that the request started executing.
End Time
The time that the request ended its execution.
Requester
The administrative account user who created the repurposing request.
Status
The state of the request instance: Init, Running, Error, Done; refer to Repurposing request instance states.
Source Cluster
The cluster from which hosts are moving or were moved from. Details include the affected resource group, consumer, and number of hosts.
Target Cluster
The cluster to which hosts are moving or were moved. Details include the affected resource group, consumer, and number of hosts.
Source Slots
The number of slots that are moving or were moved from the source cluster.
Target Slots
The number of slots that are moving to or were moved to the target cluster.
Duration
The time it takes for the repurposing request to complete.

Request instance summary

Summarizes the status of the repurposing request instance to move hosts and slots between clusters. Possible host states are: in-progress, succeeded, and failed. Refer to Host states associated with repurposing request instances for details.

Host events of this request instance

Summary messages for events associated with moving the host from the source cluster to the target cluster. These messages include the following information:
  • The start and end time of the move.
  • The stderr and stdout of the respective move scripts (if available).
  • The number of slots that this host accounted for during the execution of the request.
