Provisioning cloud hosts manually

You can manually submit requests for cloud hosts to stretch your cluster. For example, you can request hosts to be provisioned from the cloud when you anticipate increased workload and return them when they are no longer required. You can also schedule requests for specific dates and times, and even make them recur (such as on a daily or weekly schedule).

Manual provisioning uses RESTful APIs and requires your requestor (for example, symA or admin) to be enabled in REST mode. In REST mode, cloud resource requests are managed through a RESTful API interface. You can use any RESTful API client, for example, cURL commands or a browser-based plug-in, to submit requests for cloud resources. You can also use the cluster management console to submit requests manually.
