Multidimensional Plan Allocation view
Only visible when at least one multidimensional resource plan is defined, the Multidimensional Plan Allocation view shows how resource metrics defined in your multidimensional resource plans are allocated.
Your multidimensional resource plan supports four predefined resource metrics (maxmem, maxswp, maxtmp, and ncpus) or your own custom metrics, for scheduling. The pie charts show multidimensional resource allocations for first-level and leaf consumers.
By default, you see the Multidimensional Plan Allocation view collapsed, with a summary of the multidimensional plan allocations.
Within
the Multidimensional Plan Allocation view, you can see the following information:
- Multidimensional resource plan name resource metric: Top Level Consumers
- These charts have labels in the format Multidimensional resource plan name
resource metric: Top Level Consumers (such as MyPlan ncpus: Top Level Consumers)
and show the following information for each multidimensional resource plan you have defined:
- The total number of the resource metric available to first-level consumers (for example, the total number of ncups for all the consumers defined in the multidimensional resource plan).
- A pie chart that further breaks down the resource metrics allocated to each first-level consumer. Mouse over any of the information in this section (such as the pie chart, allocations, or consumer names) to see additional information.
By default, you see the Top Level Consumers charts.

- These charts have labels in the format Multidimensional resource plan name
resource metric: Leaf Consumers (such as MyPlan ncpus: Leaf Consumers) and show
the following information for each multidimensional resource plan you have defined:
- The total number of the resource metric available to first-level consumers (for example, the total number of ncups for all the leaf consumers defined in the multidimensional resource plan).
- A pie chart that further breaks down the resource metrics allocated to each first-level consumer. Mouse over any of the information in this section (such as the pie chart, allocations, or consumer names) to see additional information.
