Understanding the Dashboard

The Dashboard is only visible to users who have the GUI_DASHBOARD permission. Additional permissions are required to view the information in each view within the Dashboard. Possible views include the Cluster Health, Slot Allocation, Multidimensional Plan Allocation, and Workload Health views; each view contains a series of charts.

Use the Common Tasks menu on the Dashboard to get to key pages in the cluster management console, such as Symphony Workload, Resources, Cluster Settings, System Logs, and Reports. Based on your entitlement, extra links such as MapReduce Workload, also appear.

Your Dashboard is dynamic and can change depending on what add-ons you have installed. Additionally, you can customize your view of the Dashboard by clicking Show in each view, and selecting your preferences.
