Viewing cloud request instances

View a list of host factory request instances for cloud hosts. This list includes all (dynamic and manual) request instances.

Before you begin

To view host factory request instances, you must be the cluster administrator, a read-only cluster administrator, or your user account must be assigned the HF_ALL_REQUESTOR_VIEW permission.

About this task

Use the cloud request instances list to view all host factory request instances in your cluster. Each cloud provisioning request instance can have the following status when it is submitted to the HostFactory service:
  • Created: A request instance to provision cloud hosts is successfully submitted to HostFactory.
  • Running: The request instance is being processed at this time.
  • Provisioned: The request instance is processed, with all cloud hosts provisioned for the request.
  • Closing: The request instance is being closed. During this time, cloud hosts provisioned by this request are returned. Ongoing provisioning tasks continue to completion and any newly provisioned hosts are returned.
  • Closed: The request instance is closed.

Procedure

  1. From the cluster management console, click Resources > Cloud > Request Instances.
  2. To sort information in ascending or descending order, click the up or down arrows in each column header.

Only some columns show by default. To change your column settings, click the settings icon, select Column Setting, and select the columns you want to show.

  3. To filter the list by requestor, status, start time, or end time, click the settings icon, select Filter, and select list filtering type and options. For example, to view only request instances that are in Closed and Closing status, from the filter dialog, select Status, then enable Closed and Closing, and click Apply. The list refreshes to show only request instances in those states.
