Why won't (components of) my cluster start?

A quick summary of some common causes for cluster startup issues are:
  • Your cluster references a non-existent, invalid, or expired license file.
  • Invalid input in configuration file.
  • Invalid port specified or port already in use.
  • The operating system user does not have the required permissions for the operating system or the file system.
  • The specified directory for management node persistence is invalid or inaccessible.
  • Windows password has expired.
  • There are no available slots to run the EGO services.
