Managing plugins

Plug-in management is performed through RTM, through Console > Configuration > Plugins.

The following default plugins come with RTM.

  • admin
  • boost
  • clog
  • grid
  • gridalarms
  • gridcstat
  • gridpend
  • heuristics
  • hoverhelp
  • license
  • logout
  • meta
  • nectar
  • ptskin
  • rtmssh
  • settings
  • superlinks
  • syslog
  • thold

If you have any plugins other than those listed, copy them from the old server to the new server. In general, the RTM operational backups contain the rest of the configuration data required once the copy is complete.

Most Cacti plugins can be installed with Plugin Management. For example:
  • To install a plugin, click the Install Plugin icon in the Actions column.
  • To enable a plugin, click the Enable icon in the Actions column.

When a database has been transferred from an old server to a new server, installation settings are preserved. However, some third-party plugins require extra setup on the RTM server itself. Review specific setup procedures for each plugin.

For more information on installing plugins, see the Readme file in the specific plugin directory.
