System requirements for IBM Spectrum LSF RTM Version 10.2 Fix Pack 14
Before you install IBM Spectrum LSF RTM, ensure that your host has the operating system, and memory and CPU requirements according to your cluster size.
Supported operating systems
- For Linux x86_64 servers:
- Support for RHEL 7.1 or later, with specific certification for RHEL 7.9. Refer to RHEL compatibility policies if you want to use any other version: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/5154.
- Support for RHEL 8.x, with specific certification for RHEL 8.7 and support for RHEL 8.8.
- Support for RHEL 9.1.
- Support for CentOS 7.2 or later, with specific certification for CentOS 7.9.
- Ubuntu 22.04 certified.
- SLES 15 SP4 certified.
- For Linux for IBM Power systems servers:
- RHEL 7.9 on Power 8 Little Endian certified
- RHEL 8.7 on Power 8 or 10 Little Endian certified
- RHEL 9.1 on Power 9 or 10 Little Endian certified

- LSF 9.x
- LSF 10.1.x
Note: If you are using LSF 9.1.2 and above,
and if you have enabled the security access, then you must add the daemon account of RTM to the
ClusterAdmins section of lsf.cluster.clustername. By
default, the daemon account is
apache
(for RedHat) or wwwrun
(for
SLES). If you do not add these user accounts in lsf.cluster.clustername, then
you will not see any data in RTM. Note that the
lsf.cluster.clustername file is typically installed in the directory defined by
LSF_ENVDIR.Supported LSF add-ons

Note: As of LSF 10.1 Fix Pack
12, RTM
supports collecting host level GPU information for LSF 10.1 Fix Pack 6
or later. However, the
ls_gethostgpuinfo
API will be reset by the daemon if the
LSF cluster
version is LSF Fix Pack 5 or
earlier.
