Monitoring alerts

Use IBM Spectrum LSF RTM to view and monitor grid (cluster), threshold, and syslog alerts and alert details.

Viewing triggered grid alerts
RTM keeps a log of all alerts that can be viewed in the Alerts Dashboard (Cluster > Dashboards > Alerts or through Console > Management > Alerts.
Viewing triggered thresholds
RTM keeps a log of all threshold alerts. View detailed information about the triggered alerts under the Thold tab or through Console > Management > Thresholds. Click the name of a threshold with triggered alerts to see a list of the hosts and the specific data source values that triggered the alert. If there are many thresholds, use the Threshold Status fields to filter the threshold view.
Viewing hosts monitored by thresholds
The Thold tab displays threshold information, including devices that are being monitored and their status. Use the filters to find hosts and thresholds.
Viewing Syslog messages
If enabled, the Syslog tab displays entries from the UNIX log files in the /var/log directory in each host of the clusters that RTM monitors. Each data record displayed here is an entry in one of the log files.
Viewing Syslog alert history
If enabled, RTM keeps a log of all Syslog alerts. The Syslog alert history, or Alert Logs are viewed under the Syslog tab.
Viewing host level alerts
The Alerts tab of the Host Dashboard (Cluster > Host) shows any events triggered for each host in a cluster monitored by RTM.
