IBM Storage FlashSystem C200 support
IBM Storage FlashSystem C200 device can now be monitored with IBM Spectrum Control. For more information about IBM Storage FlashSystem C200, see Supported devices in IBM Spectrum Control.
Enhanced support for DS8000® R10 storage systems
The DS8000 storage system introduced several significant updates with the release of firmware version R10. Following is the summary of the new features and enhancements:
  • Firmware release: The new R10 firmware is now available.
  • New machine models: Several new machine models are introduced.
  • New disk drives:
    • The following NVMe industry-standard drives are supported in DS8000 10th generation systems:
      • 1.6 TB 2.5-inch NVMe flash drive
      • 1.92 TB 2.5-inch NVMe flash drive
      • 3.84 TB 2.5-inch NVMe flash drive
      • 7.68 TB 2.5-inch NVMe flash drive
    • The following FlashCore Module drives which supports compression are now supported in DS8000 R10 storage systems:
      • 4.8 TB 2.5-inch NVMe FlashCore Module
      • 9.6 TB 2.5-inch NVMe FlashCore Module
      • 19.2 TB 2.5-inch NVMe FlashCore Module
VMware vSphere™ version 8 support
You can now install IBM Spectrum Control 5.4.13.1 on virtual machine created by VMware vSphere version 8. For more information, see Planning for VMware

Support for TLS 1.3 on Brocade SAN switch
IBM Spectrum Control now supports the TLS 1.3 protocol for communication with Brocade SAN switches, along with earlier TLS versions. For more information about monitoring brocade switches, see Planning for Brocade.
