Specifying a report to save the report output to a file system
You can configure a report to save the report output to a location in a file system. You can also specify the file name for the report output, and whether to append a date and time to the file name.
Before you begin
Procedure
- In the Cognos Analytics reporting tool, right-click the report, then click Properties.
- Click the Schedule tab.
- Click New to create a new schedule.
- In the Options area, click Delivery, then click Save report as an external file.
- Optional: Specify the name to use for the report, the location of the report output on the file system, and what to do if there is a file name conflict.
- Click Done.
- Click Create to save the schedule for the report.
