Searching in your report data

Search through your report data in the Cognos® Analytics reporting tool.

  1. In the Welcome portal, click Search.
  2. Type the search terms in the Search field, then press Enter.
    Tip: You can filter and save searches.
  3. Optional: Alternatively, you can search the online help for properties or metrics.
    1. In the Cognos Analytics reporting tool, click any predefined report.
    2. Click Help, which is in the upper-right corner of the page.
    3. In the Search IBM Documentation field, type the name of the property or metric in quotation marks followed by the word report. Press Enter to search for the term.
      For example, type one of the following:
      • "Storage Pool Name" report
      • "Port Receive I/O Rate" report
      The list of help topics that contain the property or metric is displayed in the search results.
