Explanation

This problems occurs when your IBM Spectrum Control username is not defined in IBM Security Verify. Your username must be added to IBM Security Verify to connect and enable multifactor authentication.

Action

To add an IBM Spectrum Control user to IBM Security Verify, complete the following steps:
  1. Access the IBM Security Verify administrator dashboard. This URL follows the format https://tenant.verify.ibm.com/ui/admin, where tenant is the name of the tenant that is associated with your organization, such as https://bankxyz.verify.ibm.com/ui/admin.
  2. Select Directory > Users and groups.
  3. On the Users and groups page, click Add user.
  4. Enter information about the user and click Save.
  5. Login into IBM Security Verify with that new user and configure the second factor authentication.
