Postgres Operator overview
Tech preview Tenant users can deploy and manage PostgreSQL on their tenant clusters. They can then select and distribute the Postgres Operator, and create and manage PostgreSQL cluster custom resources. The tenant cluster approach provides control and customization.
What is the Postgres Operator?
The Postgres Operator automates the deployment and lifecycle management of PostgreSQL clusters in Kubernetes environments. You can define and manage highly available PostgreSQL databases through standard Kubernetes APIs.
Tech preview Key functions:
- Automates lifecycle management of PostgreSQL clusters including deployment and maintenance.
- Supports PostgreSQL cluster configuration through Kubernetes and YAML.
- Provides continuous backups and recovery for data protection.
