Backing up, restoring, and migrating OpenPages

You can back up and restore your OpenPages instance. You can also migrate files and data from one instance to another.

Backing up and restoring OpenPages

To back up and restore OpenPages, see Backing up and restoring Cloud Pak for Data.

Note: Before you back up IBM® Software Hub, scale OpenPages down to one replica.

Backing up and restoring an external OpenPages database

If you are using an external database, do an offline backup of the database when you back up OpenPages. The application files and the database must be kept in sync.

Important: You must restore the external database before you run an offline (Restic) restore into a different cluster. For more information about offline restores, see Offline backup and restore to a different cluster.
