Upgrading IBM Orchestration Pipelines
An instance administrator can upgrade the IBM Orchestration Pipelines service on IBM® Software
Hub.
Note: IBM Orchestration Pipelines increased the Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) size for the service. If you
use NFS storage, you must do an offline procedure to expand the storage before or during upgrading.
See Orchestration Pipelines artifact store PVC size increase for NFS
storage class.
Important: Schedule the upgrade to Version 5.4 during periods of
reduced workloads. IBM Orchestration Pipelines Version 5.4 introduces a default
local runtime that requires all active pipeline runs to complete before the upgrade can proceed. The
upgrade process automatically stops new pipeline runs and waits for running instances to reach a
terminal state (Completed or Failed). If running pipeline runs do not complete within the default
timeout period of 30 minutes, the reconciliation status transitions to
Failed, and
the reconciliation process retries on the next run cycle.
