Known issues for migration from IBM Automatic Data Lineage

You might encounter these known issues when you migrate lineage connections, alias mappings and certificates from IBM Automatic Data Lineage to IBM Manta Data Lineage.

The migrated metadata import job fails for Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)

Applies to: 5.3.1

When you import lineage metadata from Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services after you migrated to 5.3.1 version, the import job fails.

Workaround: To import data successfully, complete these steps:

  1. Enable the feature flag featureEnableSSAS=true.
  2. Find the metadata import job that failed.
  3. In the job configuration, select the Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services option.
  4. Save the changes and start the import.

The migrated metadata import job fails for Microsoft Power BI Report Server (Microsoft Power BI Desktop)

Applies to: 5.3.1

When you import lineage metadata from Microsoft Power BI Report Server after you migrated to 5.3.1 version, the import job fails. Reports located in the root directory might not be associated with any workspace. As a result, the import job fails.

Workaround: To import data successfully, complete these steps:

  1. Find the metadata import job that failed.
  2. Add the folders where the reports are located by using the include list.
  3. Save the changes and start the import.
