Getting started with IBM Manta Data Lineage

Use IBM Manta Data Lineage to visualize your data dependencies in a transparent way on a lineage graph.

With IBM Manta Data Lineage, you can:
  • Better understand where your data comes from, how it transforms, and where it moves over time.
  • Identify potential risks in your data.
  • Check your data for compliance with various regulations.

Checking whether the service is installed

An administrator must install IBM Manta Data Lineage.

To check whether the service is installed:

  1. From the navigation menu, select Services > Services catalog.
  2. Search for IBM Manta Data Lineage.

If the service is installed and ready to use, the tile in the catalog shows Ready to use.

Accessing the service

Cloud Pak for Data This service is available from the IBM Cloud Pak for Data experience.

To view and work with data lineage, open the navigation menu and select Data > Data lineage.
