The following issues and limitations apply to Decision Optimization.

Known issues

Decision Optimization operator reconciliation fails with error message no space left on device

Applies to: 5.4.0 and later

During Decision Optimization upgrade, on certain platforms (for example on Power), the Decision Optimization component might intermittently remain stuck in the InProgress state with 0% progress. If you then check the log files, you obtain the following error related to temporary disk storage:

error: write /tmp/kubeconfigxxxx: no space left on device.

Workaround: Delete the Decision Optimization ibm-cpd-dods-operator pod. It will automatically restart and run to completion, which solves the issue.
