Db2 Data Management Console pods
The Db2 Data Management
Console service has two main pods: addon-ui and
addon-api.
The addon-ui pod provides an interface for the user to provision the Db2 Data Management
Console service instance, view the service instance details, and manage user access.
The addon-api pod provides the engine for auto discovering and adding databases
( Db2 Database, Db2 Warehouse, Db2
Big SQL, and Data Virtualization) to Db2 Data Management
Console.
The Db2 Data Management
Console service instance has the following
ibm-dmc pods: - The
redispod manages message queue and memory cache. - The
nginxpod provides the user interface. - The
dbapipod provides base function like connection management. - The
runsqlpod provides run SQL statements and scripts against the database. - The
adminpod enables users to explore integrated databases and also allows user to load data from local file system, Amazon S3, and IBM Cloud® Object Storage. - The
explainpod provides visual explain function and tuning function for both single SQL statement and query workloads. - The
monitorpod enables users to monitor the integrated databases, which include the summary page, database, statement, locking, applications, throughput, I/O, and storage metrics. It also provides report function. - The
job schedulerpod enables user to create and schedule jobs. - The
registry managerpod provides functions like monitoring and connection scheduling.
