Creating a service instance for watsonx Orchestrate from the web client
After you install watsonx Orchestrate, you must create the watsonx Orchestrate service instance in the operands project. If you are a IBM® Software Hub user, you can use the web client to create the service instance. The web client guides you through the process of creating the service instance.

- To create a service instance from the web client, you must have the Create service instances permission in IBM Software Hub.

- Complete this task only if you want to create a service instance from the web client.

Procedure
Complete the following steps to provision an instance of watsonx Orchestrate:
- Log in to the web client.
- Switch to the IBM Cloud Pak® for Data experience, if needed.
- From the navigation menu, select .
- Click New instance.
- Click the watsonx Orchestrate service tile. Then, click Next.
- From the new service instance page, complete the following fields: Instance name, Description, and Namespace. Then, click Create.
- Wait 1 to 2 minutes for the new instance to be provisioned.
You can find information about the new instance in the About this instance page. To go to the About this instance page, select from the web client menu. Then, click the name of the watsonx Orchestrate instance.
Important: New tenants that are created in a fresh 5.2.0 cluster or in an upgraded
5.2.0 cluster has access only to the
New Agentic Experience.
