Managing alerts

To manage alerts of the database:

1. Access the console.
2. From the navigation menu, select Admin > Alert configuration.
   
3. To add alert configuration:
   • Click on Add + button.
   • Provide appropriate options shown in the form.
     
   • For more details on the fields related to alert configuration, visit alert configuration table below.
4. To edit alert configuration:
   • From the alert list, click on pencil icon which will be visible on hover on specific alert.
   • Configuration pop-up will be shown with options to modify the alert.
   • Provide options same as when you add new alert configurations.
5. To delete alert configuration:
   • From the alert list, click on trash icon which will be visible on hover on specific alert.
   • Alert configuration will be removed from the list however you need to click on Save button to delete it.
   Following are configurable fields for an alert configuration:

   Field	Description
   Alert name	Alphanumerical value: Name of the alert configuration.
   Sensors	Drop-down: List of all available sensors can be viewed at Managing sensors.
   Metric	Drop-down: Metric’s list which depends on sensor type.
   Condition	Drop-down: Condition list as is greater than, is less than, and is ( Is equal to )
   Insert value	Numeric value: Which can be in number or percentage based on the sensor metric.
   Unit	Drop-down: Unit list which will be visible for certain type of sensors only. Such as Operating system memory, Memory.

6. Confirmation prompt will be displayed when you try to navigate to a different page without saving changes on alert configuration page.
7. Confirmation prompt provides following actions:
   • Cancel: Close the prompt and stay on the alert configuration page.
   • Discard: Discard any unsaved changes and navigate to the other page.
   • Save: Save the current unsaved changes and navigate to the other page.
   
   Note:

   1. Save button will be enabled only if there are any modifications to any of the alerts.
   2. You need to click on Save button to make all the alert modifications permanent.
