One-time setup If you don't have S3-compatible storage that you can access from your cluster, you must set it up before you install IBM Software Hub.
Restore If you plan to restore IBM Software Hub to a different cluster, you must also complete this task on the target cluster.
About this task
You must have S3-compatible object storage where you can store your backups. It is strongly recommended that you use storage that is outside of your cluster.
You can use the following S3-compatible object storage:
- Amazon S3
- IBM Cloud Object Storage
- MinIO
- Ceph® Object Gateway
You must have a bucket where you plan to store your IBM Software Hub backups.
Procedure
- For Amazon S3 object storage, see Getting started with Amazon S3.
- For IBM Cloud Object Storage, see Getting started with IBM Cloud Object Storage.
- For MinIO, see the MinIO AIStor documentation.
- For Ceph Object Gateway, see Installing Ceph.
