Managing access to Db2 Big SQL instances

Specify which users or groups of users can access a Db2 Big SQL instance.

About this task

Db2 Big SQL supports two types of users: regular users and administrative users. Administrative users perform administrative tasks on a Db2 Big SQL instance, such as scaling the instance and adding or removing other users.

IBM Software Hub administrators manage access to Db2 Big SQL instances by specifying which users are regular users and which users are administrators.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the IBM Software Hub web client as an administrator.
  2. From the navigation menu, click Services > Instances.
  3. From the instances list, find the instance that you want to modify. Click the options menu and select Manage access.
  4. Click Add users.
  5. Add a user and specify whether the user is a regular user or an administrator.
