Post-installation setup for watsonx.governance

Before you can use watsonx.governance, you need to complete some post-installation tasks. Do these tasks after you install the watsonx.governance service.

Set up watsonx.governance

To do model evaluations in watsonx.governance, you need to complete some setup tasks. For more information, see Setup options for model evaluations. Complete the automatic setup, manual setup, or advanced setup.

Enable the Governance console integration

To enable Governance console:
  1. From the navigation menu, open AI governance > AI use cases.
  2. Click Manage settings The Manage settings icon..
  3. In the Inventory section, create a new inventory to manage access and storage for your collection of Al use cases.
  4. In the New Inventory menu, specify the name for the inventory. If needed check the box Add collaborators after creation to add members for collaboration on AI use cases.
  5. In the General section, enable the IBM OpenPages integration setting.
  6. Click Setup.
  7. Choose a watsonx.governance user. The user must have API access with the profile watsonx-governance MRG Master assigned. The integration is associated with that user. You can change the user details later if necessary.
  8. Select the inventory that was created.
  9. Click Complete setup.
Important: After watsonx.governance integration is enabled, you can return to the Governance console page and turn it off. Turning Governance console off does not remove any assets; it just stops syncing between watsonx.governance and AI Factsheets.

However, this is only recommended on development or test environments. Or if you want to permanently turn off the Governance console. If you turn off sync in a production environment, data inconsistencies can occur between the Governance console and watsonx.governance.

Configure the watsonx.governance dashboard

To add the Governance console:
  1. From the Cloud Pak for Data quick navigation menu, right-click OpenPages cr and open the Governance console in a new tab.
  2. Click dashboard configuration .
