Post-installation setup for the MongoDB service

After you install the MongoDB service on Cloud Pak for Data, you must set up the service before you can use MongoDB. You need to first deploy at least one MongoDB Ops Manager instance and then deploy a MongoDB database service instance.

You can use one MongoDB Ops Manager instance to configure and maintain one or multiple MongoDB database service instances.

You can also use multiple MongoDB Ops Manager instances to configure and maintain multiple MongoDB database service instances to provide redundancy and high availability in the event of a host failure.
