Description

You can use the EDB Postgres services, EDB Postgres Standard and EDB Postgres Enterprise, to provision and manage PostgreSQL databases.

Both services provide an enhanced version of open source PostgreSQL that is continuously synchronized with PostgreSQL, ensuring ease of deployment and scalability.

Use EDB Postgres Standard to deploy a PostgreSQL database. If you want to deploy a PostgreSQL database with security and performance features for enterprises, use EDB Postgres Enterprise instead. With EDB Postgres Enterprise, you deploy EDB Postgres Advanced Server databases, with the following additional useful features:

  • Performance diagnostics
  • Enterprise security
  • Oracle database compatibility
  • Enhanced productivity capabilities for developers and database administrators
