Giving users access to the EDB Postgres database

By default, only the user who creates the EDB Postgres database has access to the database. This user must give other users access to the database.

To give a user access to an integrated database:

1. Sign in to the Cloud Pak for Data web client.
2. From the navigation menu, select Services > Instances.
3. Open the actions menu for the database that you want to manage, and select Manage access.
4. Click Add users.
5. Select the user and specify the appropriate role for the user.
6. Click OK.
