Getting started with IBM Match 360

By using IBM Match 360 within the IBM Cloud Pak® for Data experience, you can ensure that your users and systems have a unified, 360-degree view of your data. You can discover master data directly in the space where you expect to consume it.

With IBM Match 360, you can resolve data records across different sources to give you a clearer view of your data. Load record data from systems across your enterprise into IBM Match 360 and run matching algorithms to consolidate that data by creating trusted master data entities. After you match your data, IBM Match 360 shows statistics and graphs to help business users to analyze and explore your master data.

Data engineers can use IBM Match 360 to:
  • Gather and load data from sources and systems across your business.
  • Run the intelligent matching engine to generate enriched master data entities.
  • Use no-code tools to customize and tune the matching algorithm for each type of data in your system.
  • Update the IBM Match 360 data model with custom data types that meet your business requirements.
  • Associate IBM Match 360 with governed data catalogs to apply data protection rules.
Data stewards can use IBM Match 360 to:
  • Make guided decisions that enhance data quality.
  • Review and analyze data quality scores to see a detailed view of the system's confidence in your master data entities.
  • Use machine learning enhanced stewardship tools to identify and resolve potential data quality issues.
  • Export master data for use in other systems.
  • Complete pair reviews to help train and tune the matching engine.
Business users and systems can use IBM Match 360 to:
  • Search, view, and analyze master data entities and records.
  • Use the IBM Match 360 APIs to provide business applications with direct access to trusted master data.

Checking whether the service is installed

An administrator must install IBM Match 360.

To check whether the service is installed:

  1. From the navigation menu, select Services > Services catalog.
  2. Search for IBM Match 360.

If the service is installed and ready to use, the tile in the catalog shows Ready to use.

Accessing the service

Cloud Pak for Data This service is available from the IBM Cloud Pak for Data experience.

To access IBM Match 360, select Data > Master data from the navigation menu.
