Forwarding notifications generated by IBM Software Hub services

Some IBM Software Hub services generate notifications about events, such as projects being deleted, jobs completing, and so on. You can configure IBM Software Hub to forward these notifications to external applications or users.

Before you begin

This feature is available only if you installed a service with a dependency on the IBM Software Hub common core services.

About this task

You can configure IBM Software Hub to forward notifications to:
  • Email recipients.
  • External applications, such as IBM Business Automation Workflow and JIRA, that has a webhook that accepts incoming HTTP requests.
You can specify which notifications are forwarded to different targets. For example, you might want to:
  • Notify a group of data scientists when a training job is complete so that they can start the next phase of their project.
  • Create a JIRA issue when a job fails so that someone can resolve the problem.
  • Move a task to the next step in a workflow when an asset is ready to use.

A target is an address or application that you want to forward notifications to. You can configure different targets depending on the notifications that you want to forward.
