Description

The installation of the Data Privacy service provides the ability to create and run masking flows. When you use data protection rules to mask data, you can create masking flows to permanently mask data assets that are copies of data assets in a governed catalog. Masking flows are useful if you want to download masked data or you're provisioning data.

Data protection rules are used to mask data. You must have IBM® Knowledge Catalog installed to create data protection rules.

Integrated services

The tool for Advanced Data Privacy is renamed to Masking flow. However, the Data Privacy service remains a separately installed service with a dependency on IBM Knowledge Catalog.
