Checking the RAID controller status for a Network IPS appliance

Use the raidcheck command to check the status of the RAID controller that is used by the Network IPS appliance.

Supported appliances

The raidcheck command supports the following Network IPS appliances:
  • GX5000 series
  • GX6000 series
    Important: Before you can use the raidcheck command with GX6000 series appliances, you must download and install the Adaptec package asm_linux_x86_v5_20_17414.rpm. If you need help with installing the RPM package, contact IBM® Support for assistance.
  • GX7000 series (Firmware version 4.3 and later)

Procedure

To check the status of the RAID controller for a Network IPS appliance:
  1. Connect to the Network IPS appliance by using a secure network connection.
  2. From the command line, type raidcheck.
    Example: If you are checking the status of a RAID controller for the GX5008 appliance, the following output is displayed:
    gx5008v1:~ # raidcheck
