Configuring properties to connect with IBM Z Operational Log and Data Analytics

To launch IBM Z Operational Log and Data Analytics dashboards directly from the IBM® Z Automation Web Console, you need to first configure properties to enable and establish the connection between the IBM Z Automation Web Console server and Z Operational Log and Data Analytics.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation bar, click System Configuration > Configure Z Automation Web Console to start the web configuration tool.
  2. Click Z Automation Web Console Integration Configuration to switch tab to open the configuration page.
  3. Navigate to the the ZLDA tab to configure the dashboard settings.
  4. If you want to launch the Z Data Analytics platform dashboard that is included in Z Operational Log and Data Analytics, complete the following steps.
    1. Select Enable Z Data Analytics Platform/ELK. The properties field is displayed.
    2. Specify the hostname and port of the Z Data Analytics platform/ELK dashboard.
    3. Specify the path of the Z Data Analytics platform/ELK dashboard.
  5. If you want to launch the Z Operational Log and Data Analytics dashboard that is deployed on Splunk platform, complete the following steps.
    1. Select Enable Splunk platform. The properties field is displayed.
    2. Specify the hostname and port of the Z Data Analytics platform dashboard.
  6. Click Save to save all your changes.
  7. Restart Service Management Unite to make your changes take effect.
