Getting started with Verse

After you provision users, complete the following tasks to help users get started with IBM® Verse.

Make sure that users are successfully provisioned. For more information, see Checking user provisioning status.

Provide users with the information they need to log on to the cloud. This step is required to help users log on to the cloud for the first time. For more information, see the topic Providing account information to users.  
Tell users how to open Verse. When users first log on to mail in the cloud, they start in SmartCloud Notes web (the web client) rather than Verse.

From the status bar of the web client, there is an invitation to Try IBM Verse! Select Yes to open mail in Verse in a new browser tab.

To make Verse their default mail client, users can click Preferences > Mail > General and under Default Mail Experience select IBM Verse.

 
Point users to the Verse FAQ help. Users can see answers to common questions as they begin using Verse. Verse FAQ help.  
Prepare to troubleshoot any login problems. If any user has trouble logging in to the service, you can quickly resolve the problem. See Technote 1496881: SmartCloud Notes user cannot log on  
Learn about the features available to monitor and manage mobile devices. You can see information about a user's device such as the name and the time it was last synchronized. See Managing Traveler and Verse mobile devices.
