About SmartCloud Notes
IBM SmartCloud® Notes® is a multi-tenant cloud mail service. When you use the service, administrators at IBM® set up and maintain IBM Domino® mail servers for you in the cloud on external IBM servers. The service offers you the benefits of Domino mail server security features and architecture without the mail server maintenance overhead.
At least one person at a company is designated as a company administrator, sometimes referred to as the organization administrator. A company administrator has a user account with the Administrator role and is responsible for configuring the service and administering user accounts.
Using the following clients, users connect to the SmartCloud Notes service
over the Internet at http://www.ibmcloud.com/social to
access their mail. Any combination of these clients can be used:
- IBM Verse through a browser interface.
- SmartCloud Notes web client through a browser interface.
- IBM Notes client on a local computer. (If you are considering the Notes client, see Deciding whether to use the Notes client.)
- IBM Traveler for mobile devices. Available at no extra cost, this service enables users to access the service through supported mobile devices.
