Installation enhancements

The following enhancements have been made to the installation and life-cycle management functions of IBM Spectrum LSF Suite for Workgroups 10.2 Fix Pack 6:

  • New role for Spectrum Scale monitoring:

    When installed, this role allows users to see how much IBM Spectrum Scale IO their jobs are consuming.

  • Shared Directory installation enhancements:

    A Shared Directory installation now hosts all of the LSF binaries and configuration on an NFS or IBM Spectrum Scale filesystem.

  • New install / re-install options:

    Administrators now have the option of adding new servers, or re-installing old servers, selectively. This greatly shortens the time needed to change the hosts in the IBM Spectrum LSF Suite for Workgroups cluster.

  • Inclusion of IBM HTTPd as a convenience for users wanting to use the IBM HTTPd as a load-balancer.
