Operating system and client browser support

Before applying Fix Pack 15, ensure that you use one of the supported operating systems. Note that Fix Pack 15 does not support RHEL 7.x and SLES 12. It adds support for RHEL 9.5 and SLES 15.6.

As of Fix Pack 15, you can use IBM Spectrum LSF Suite for HPC on upgraded browsers. For details, see the supported operating systems.

New LSF Web Services offering

IBM® Spectrum LSF Web Services (LSF Web Services) is a new offering with Fix Pack 15. Use LSF Web Services to access LSF from anywhere, making it easier for your to connect to your LSF cluster.

As part of the Fix Pack 15 IBM Spectrum LSF Suite for HPC software package, you can install the lsf-webservice-10.1.0.15-25081908.x86_64.rpm package for LSF Web Services.

New .bin packages for Ubuntu systems with Debian

Fix Pack 15 offers a IBM Spectrum LSF Suite for HPC software package for Ubuntu systems with Debian: lsfshpc10.2.0.15-x86_64-d.bin.

Upgraded Linux binary

Fix Pack 15 upgrades to support linux3.10-glibc2.17-86_64 operating system.

New lsfd.service file compatible with Fix Pack 15 file

Fix Pack 15 introduces a new lsfd.service file for the lsadmin, badmin, and btrld commands to start, stop, or restart the key daemons (LIM, RES, and sbatchd). For compatibility, the IBM Spectrum LSF Suite for HPC Fix Pack 15 also supports the new lsfd.service file. See the Fix Pack 15 What's New topic for details.
