Installation architecture
The IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Server contains the web server and the reporting engine. The IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Data Collector is installed on an LSF® server or client in your cluster and collects data about your cluster. You can install Elasticsearch inside or outside your cluster. You can also connect to existing installations of Elasticsearch.
Installation on a single Host
For small environments, install IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Server, IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Data Collector, and Elasticsearch on an IBM Spectrum LSF(LSF) host in your cluster.
Installation on multiple Hosts
In larger environments, install IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Server on any host that meets system requirements. Install IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Data Collector on an LSF server or client, and install Elasticsearch on any host that meets system requirements. Install one IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Data Collector per LSF cluster that you want to report on.
