LSF root privileges

To enable root privileges on hosts for LSF Application Center, you must specify a space-separated list of hosts for the LSF_ADDON_HOSTS parameter in the lsf.conf file. The root users on these specified hosts can then execute commands remotely.

Support for previous LSF versions

To ensure that LSF Application Center10.2 Fix Pack 13 works properly with LSF 10.1.0.11 and previous versions, you must configure the following parameters in the lsf.conf file:
LSF_STRICT_CHECKING=N
LSF_AUTH_QUERY_COMMANDS=N

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.5

Application data file input file size increased to 10 GB for job submissions

The maximum size for application data input files for job submissions has increased to 10 GB. Refer to Submit and monitor jobs and Submission (Application) templates for details on job submissions using IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center.

Upgraded software included with IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center

IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center includes various software, required for IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center components, as applicable for each operating system. This software is included with the IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center installation. To proactively address known security vulnerabilities, LSF Application Center 10.2 Fix Pack 13 upgraded the following software to ensure a secure environment:

Support for other IBM Spectrum LSF product family offerings

IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center Standard Edition is the only edition of IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center 10.2. With Fix Pack 13, you can also run the following IBM Spectrum LSF product family offerings:
  • IBM Spectrum LSF 10.1 Fix Pack 12 and Fix Pack 13.
  • IBM Spectrum LSF Process Manager 10.2 with any Fix Pack.
