Disabling loading of LSF user groups

By default, IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center automatically loads user groups defined in LSF®. This is controlled with the parameter the ENABLE_USERGROUP parameter in the $GUI_CONFDIR/pmc.conf file.

About this task

LSF user groups are loaded when IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center starts.

If LSF has complex user groups, so this information can take a long time to load into IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center.

If you are not using LSF user groups to control job permissions in IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center, you can disable automatic loading of LSF user groups.

Note that after you disable this feature, you will no longer be able to manage access to IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center pages and features by using user groups in Platform Application Center.

Procedure

  1. Open the $GUI_CONFDIR/pmc.conf file.
  2. Set the parameter ENABLE_USERGROUP=N.
  3. Restart IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center.

    Run the pmcadmin stop command, then the pmcadmin start command.
