Open IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center for the first time

Launch IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center to monitor hosts and jobs and run jobs.

Before you begin

Before logging into IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center for the first time, ensure you have imported the certificate into the client browser. This is required for remote consoles to work properly. For instructions, see Importing the cacert.pem certificate into the client browser.

About this task

IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center allows you to monitor hosts and jobs, as well as submit jobs.

All administrators and non-administrator users logging on to IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center must provide an OS user name and password.

Procedure

  1. Open IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center in a supported Web browser.

    https://pac_host:8443/platform

  2. Log on with your user name and password.

    To see administrator features in IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center, you must log in as an administrator.

  3. If the log on failed or the URL could not be found, restart IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center.

    Run pmcadmin stop then pmcadmin start from the command line.

    In most cases, the services required to run IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center start automatically; however, if IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center goes down, you may need to restart IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center services and daemons manually.

Enable cookies

About this task

IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center requires that Web browsers accept first-party and third-party cookies. In some cases, your browser default settings may block these cookies. In this case, you need to manually change this setting.

Procedure

  1. For Internet Explorer, in your browser, go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced.
  2. Select Override automatic cookie handling.
  3. Select Accept for both first-party and third-party cookies.
  4. Click OK to save your settings.
