User permissions for job flows

When you create a flow definition in Process Manager and schedule it, or submit a flow definition to be manually triggered, a copy of the flow definition is stored within the Process Manager system. These flow definitions can be triggered at any time in IBM Spectrum LSF Application Center.

When you trigger a flow definition manually or automatically through an event, a flow is created.

Non-administrator users

Flow definitions
  • Non-administrator users can view and manage their own flow definitions by selecting the Workload tab, then Definitions > Flow Definitions. When a flow definition is published, a flow form is generated.
  • Non-administrator users can view and trigger flow definitions that they have submitted and published by selecting the Workload tab, then Definitions > Flow Definitions.
  • If configured in Process Manager, non-administrator users can view and trigger other flow definitions that are submitted and published by other users by selecting the Workload tab, then Definitions > Flow Definitions.

All flows triggered from the flow form are listed. The User column indicates the flow owner, the user who triggered the flow.

Flows

When non-administrator users trigger a flow submitted by another user, they can view their flows by selecting the Workload tab, thenWorkload.

Administrators

Process Manager administrators and Process Manager control administrators can trigger and control all flow definitions from the Workload tab, Definitions > Flow Definitions.
