Scenario: Charge tier calculations
There are different ways to assign charge tiers that are dependent on the type of charge tier and surcharge. For example, you can configure a fixed cost-based surcharge with a charge tier 1 that is applied to the base shipping rate, and then configure another percentage-based surcharge with a charge tier 2 that is applied to the resulting amount.
Assigning charge tiers
In this example, the charge tier 1 is assigned to a fixed carrier service surcharge only. The charge tier 2 is assigned to the percentage zone component surcharge. For more information about the different types of surcharges, see Surcharges.
