Assigning a charge tier to a surcharge

You can configure a surcharge and then assign a charge tier to define the order in which the surcharge is applied by using the UI or an API.

Before you begin

• Familiarize yourself with the charge tier concept. For more information, see Surcharges.

About this task

As you configure the surcharge, you can also configure a charge tier to apply to it.

1. To locate the surcharge to which you want to apply the charge tier, you can use the UI or an API:

   Process	Resources
   UI	For more information, see Configuring carrier services.
   API	Set or update carrier service surcharge configuration . For more information, see Configuring the carrier service surcharges by using APIs.

2. Assign the charge tier 1 to the surcharges that should be applied first, followed by charge tier 2 for the surcharges that are applied next.
